ABOUT CARNIVAL
Buzzing Carnival is a creative territory where children are fully in charge! Ottawa children will join the Buzzing Parade that will walk through the scenic Andrew Haydon Park, present multicultural performances in the outdoor Buzzing Concert, perform shows on the stage of KingDom Theatre at Nepean Creative Arts Centre, exhibit works of visual art, run art workshops, and celebrate together at a breathtaking outdoor party!
This event is a great opportunity for children from various local arts groups to meet with like-minded artists of their age and make new friendships, showcase their talent on a welcoming stage for a cheerful audience, walk with the parade in a beautiful costume with friends and family, and make history by taking part in the first summer carnival of creative children in Ottawa!
KingDom Theatre has been creating vibrant international children’s events for 13 years. We love taking performances outside of the theatre and exploring our beautiful city and the world. We love guests who join us from around the globe to explore together. And we travel a lot to perform at the most fantastic international festivals. Buzzing Carnival is a dream project that comes from all of our experiences and from our hearts that we have been preparing since 2019!

CARNIVAL SCHEDULE
Saturday June 4, Andrew Haydon Park
11:00 am – Summer Music @Arts Stage
Various children’s musical bands will present a concert of cheerful summer music with the best tunes of POP, Disney, and classical pieces.
2:00 pm – Buzzing Parade
Children’s artistic groups will join the Buzzing Parade that will walk through the scenic Andrew Haydon Park. Expect costumes, puppets, music, and dance flash mobs.
3:00 pm – Arts Installation: Workshop for all ages @Arts Stage
We invite everyone to participate in an arts and crafts workshop to collaborate on the creation of a large art installation on a beautiful wooden stage in the middle of the pond.
4:00 pm – Buzzing Concert @Main Stage
Youth performers will take over the outdoor stage to present colourful numbers: theatre, dance, and circus.
6:00 pm – Outdoor Dance Party
EVERYONE is invited to join a breathtaking outdoor party with huge carnival balls, fun costumes, and rock the summer night with some energetic dance moves!
